French Mediterranean Coast

As you walk around the headland you can see evidence of old anti-aircraft installations and machine gun batteries built under supervision of the Germans. They were built mainly to protect the Antheor viaduct (road and rail). The top right photo is protection for a soldier lying in it with a weapon. Cap Roux has 220 degree views of the ocean and the Alps from Italy to the Gulf of St Tropez so a perfect defensive site.
